Jordan records 97 deaths and 6,444 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 97 deaths and 6,444 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 577,734.
 
 
The death toll has risen to 6,374.
 
The cases are:
 
-2,963 in Amman
 
-532 in Zarqa
 
-271 in Aqaba
 
-159 in Karak
 
-147 in Jerash
 
-132 in Mafraq
 
-1,435 in Irbid, including 66 in Ramtha
 
-286 in Balqa
 
-170 in Madaba
 
-158 in Ajloun
 
-141 in Tafilah
 
-50 in Ma'an, including 19 in Petra
 
A total of 448 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 392 have been discharged upon recovery.
 
There are a total of 103,323 active COVID-19 cases.
 
A total of 4,144 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 468,037.
 
There are 3,382 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
 
A total of 40,836 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,705,121.
 
Friday, 15.78 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 18.06 percent on Thursday.
