AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Monday visited the training school of non-commissioned officers in Khao near Zarqa.
Upon his arrival, His Majesty was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat and School Commander Warrant Officer Mohammad Smadi, according to a Royal Court statement.
The King listened to a briefing from school commander on its training and technical programmes and toured the facility.
King Abdullah expressed his pride in the great efforts exerted by school personnel and the advanced level they have realised in terms of proficiency, preparedness, high morale and excellence in implementing duties.
In this regard, the King stressed that non-commissioned officers are the backbone of any army in the world and are considered the main pillar of operational, training, logistic and technical fields.
His Majesty also wrote in the guestbook of the school, stressing his confidence in and support for non-commissioned officers “who always set examples of discipline and devotion”.
