AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks in Abu Dhabi on Thursday focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and review developments in the region. During their meeting in Abu Dhabi, the two ministers affirmed the strength and depth of the enduring fraternal ties between Jordan and the UAE, and their shared commitment to expanding prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields in a way that serves the interests of both countries and their peoples. Safadi and Sheikh Abdullah discussed the latest developments in Gaza, stressing the need to adhere to the ceasefire agreement and fully implement its provisions in accordance with the plan introduced by US President Donald Trump. They underscored the importance of ensuring the sufficient and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip, and moving forward toward the second phase of the agreement. The ministers also discussed the situation in the West Bank, and ongoing efforts to end the dangerous escalation and halt Israel’s illegal measures in the occupied West Bank. Safadi and Sheikh Abdullah further reviewed a number of regional issues of mutual interest.
