The Jordan Times

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali and Tunisian Ambassador Khaled Al Suhaili on Tuesday discussed arrangements to hold the 10th session of the joint Jordanian-Tunisian Higher Committee meetings, which are scheduled to be held in Amman in the first quarter of 2022.
The meetings’ agenda will address means of boosting cooperation, mainly in economic fields, by increasing the volume of trade exchange and stimulating both countries' private sectors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, the minister highlighted the importance of joint action to increase trade exchange and to maximise the use of bilateral agreements. Jordan’s exports to Tunisia in 2020 amounted to $5.9 million, while imports stood at $13.9 million, bringing the volume of trade exchange to only $19.8 million, Petra added.
