New York, London, Dubai: The top 10 cities people miss most during the coronavirus

The coronavirus pandemic has caused an unprecedented shutdown in global travel as borders close while governments try to combat the spread of the virus.
 
Across the world, people have had to cancel their holidays while remaining stuck at home, prompting many to take to social media to name their favorite destinations to go to once coronavirus lockdown measures have eased.
 
Using data collected from the Instagram’s 208,362 posts using the #TakeMeBack hashtag, US blog SavingSpot collated the top 10 travelcity destinationcountries that people miss the most.

9. Rome, Italy

Dubai, the seventh most popular destination on the list, has recently beguan easing lockdowns, but a government ban on visas-on-arrival still remains in place, meaning tourists will have to wait a bit longer until they can return to the Gulf city.
 
Meanwhile, the US, which has four destinations on the top 10 list, is currently experiencing the worst outbreak of coronavirus in the world, with over 1.85 million infections and over 100,000 dead.
 
The blog also collated the top destinations around the world that users are missing the most, with the pyramids of Giza in Egypt emerging as the most popular by a significant extent.
