Only 35 of Jordan’s 120 aid trucks allowed into Gaza — JHCO

AMMAN — Thirty-five out of 120 aid trucks dispatched from Jordan entered the Gaza Strip this week, while 60 trucks remain waiting to cross, Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) Hussein Shibli said on Thursday.

Shibli noted that fewer than half of Jordan’s trucks were being allowed through, citing persistent obstacles such as the closure of crossings before all trucks pass, lengthy inspection delays, and the rejection of certain supplies despite prior approval through the designated coordination platform.

He added that JHCO warehouses remain full of essential relief items, while the daily process of loading and rearranging supplies from depots to the King Hussein Bridge has become exhausting and repetitive due to ongoing restrictions, Al Mamlaka TV reported.

The organisation stressed that it is exerting continuous pressure to facilitate the entry of more aid, describing the situation in Gaza as a “flagrant” violation of international humanitarian laws and norms.
