French President Emmanuel Macron has adopted a more forceful stance towards Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding his staunch opposition to any assault on Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip, as per a report from Agence France-Presse on Sunday evening.

During a conversation with Netanyahu, Macron reiterated his disapproval of the Israeli Occupation military's actions in Rafah, cautioning that the forced displacement of residents amounts to a violation of international law.

Macron joined a group of leaders opposing an attack on Rafah, a city that houses approximately one and a half million displaced individuals, including US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Netanyahu called for an immediate and sustainable cessation of hostilities in Gaza and vehemently denounced recent announcements concerning settlement activities in the West Bank.

This came after the Israeli Occupation government disclosed plans on Friday to seize 800 dunams of land in the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank for the construction of new settlements.
