AMMAN — The Ministry of Investment said on Sunday that it has signed several agreements at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference in Riyadh.

The agreements, signed by Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, included an amended annex to the Jordan‑Saudi bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement and a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Investment and the Saudi Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (ECZA), the ministry said in a statement.

Abu Ghazaleh also met with representatives from 21 Saudi companies to explore joint projects and partnerships and held a series of bilateral meetings with regional and international firms.

Discussions focused on energy management, renewable energy, industrial projects, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, fintech, infrastructure, real estate development and vocational training, the statement read.

Participating companies included Schneider Electric, EDF Power Solutions, Pearson, Wyld, Novalexi, Lulu Financial Holdings, Vision Ventures, Sumo Holding Group and Zamil Real Estate Group.

The minister described the agreements as a "qualitative leap" in Jordan’s legal investment framework, enhancing investor protection, transparency, and risk mitigation while maintaining state regulatory rights.

He noted that Jordan’s Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV) aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, opening cooperation opportunities in energy, transport, logistics, tourism and emerging technologies.

Abu Ghazaleh stressed that Jordan’s participation showcased the Kingdom as a safe and attractive investment destination, as well as a regional hub for trade, logistics and energy.

The meetings also explored opportunities linked to reconstruction and recovery efforts in Syria, aiming to foster industrial and logistical integration between Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

The FII conference featured over 600 speakers across 250 sessions, with more than 8,000 participants from 90 countries, providing a platform to expand partnerships and highlight priority sectors in Jordan.

Abu Ghazaleh highlighted that the Ministry of Investment will coordinate with Saudi counterparts on a joint implementation plan to convert agreements into practical projects, attract high-quality investment, and create sustainable employment, supporting Jordan’s EMV 2033.
