Polling stations for the 2024 parliamentary elections closed as scheduled at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, according to election law.
Under the law, voters who are inside the polling stations at closing time are still allowed to cast their ballots.
Once it is confirmed that no voters remain inside, the committees seal the ballot boxes with red wax and prepare to begin the counting process. Access to and from the counting rooms, where the ballot boxes are assembled, is restricted.
As of 7:00 PM, the overall voter turnout for the 2024 parliamentary elections has reached 31.47% since the start of the election for the 20th Parliament.
The total number of voters is 1,598,757, with 832,223 males representing 34.76%, and 766,534 females representing 28.53%.
