AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday received Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah at Al Husseiniya Palace.
The meeting, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, addressed the strong relations between Jordan and Kuwait, and ways to expand cooperation in several fields, in addition to the need to step up joint Arab action to sustain de-escalation in the region, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty underscored that any de-escalation agreement must guarantee the security of Arab states, stressing that the security of Gulf states is fundamental to regional and global security and stability.
The King reiterated the importance of continuing to support Lebanon’s efforts to maintain its security, stability and sovereignty, as well as to prevent Israeli attempts to exploit the situation in the region to create new facts on the ground in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza, the statement said
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of the His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meeting.
