AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Monday honoured several outstanding inmates who have demonstrated commitment to self-improvement during their time in the rehabilitation and correctional facilities.

 

During the ceremony at the Juweideh Rehabilitation and Correctional Centre, a total of 23 inmates who memorised the Holy Koran and 23 who passed the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination  (Tawjihi) were recognised for their determination to enrich their knowledge, uphold their religious values and improve their behaviour, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

Part of the PSD's efforts towards supporting and closely monitoring inmates, the event aims to motivate those participating in rehabilitation programmes to follow suit, Petra added.
