The recent visits of HRH Crown Prince Hussein to Britain and France came at a critical political juncture, not only for bilateral relations, but for Jordan’s broader repositioning on the international stage amid shifting regional and global dynamics.

 

In London, the Crown Prince inaugurated the Jordan–UK Technology and Innovation Forum. More than a technical event, it carried a clear political message:

France, a central player in the European Union, recognises the importance of Jordan’s stability in a volatile region. Jordan understands the value of diversifying its European partnerships in light of the shifting balance of global power between East and West.

 

While the two visits were close in timing, they reveal a broader strategic direction. Jordan is carefully opening new channels of influence beyond the traditional confines of Middle Eastern politics through a dynamic, youth-driven diplomacy embodied by the Crown Prince himself.
