The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) intensified their airstrikes on the Gaza Strip early Thursday, targeting residential homes in several areas once again.
The IOF bombed homes in the Nuseirat and Maghazi refugee camps in central Gaza, as well as in the city of Rafah to the south.
The attacks resulted in casualties and dozens of injuries, according to Al Jazeera.
In response to IOF violations in the occupied Palestinian territories for decades, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched Operation Aqsa Typhoon on Oct. 7.
In retaliation, the IOF launched a military operation against the Gaza Strip called Iron Swords.
The Gaza Health Ministry announced an increase in the number of casualties since the beginning of the war to 16,248, including 7,112 children and 4,885 women. Notably, the number of injured exceeded 43,000.
The Israeli Occupation reported the death of around 1,200 settlers and soldiers, while the IOF military acknowledged the loss of 413 officers and soldiers since Oct. 7.
