A Roya correspondent reported on Tuesday that hundreds of people were injured following explosions of communication devices used by Hezbollah members in Lebanon.
The explosions occurred due to detonations of handheld pagers, which are used for encrypted internal communication by the group.
The correspondent noted that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) targeted these devices in multiple locations within the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Initial reports from Lebanese sources indicate that the occupying forces successfully penetrated and detonated the communication devices used by Hezbollah members.
The explosions impacted several areas, including the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah confirmed that these devices were specifically for their members and were destroyed in the blasts.
A source close to Hezbollah reported that a "large number" of the group's members sustained injuries from the explosions of their communication devices.
In response, the Lebanese Ministry of Health called for hospitals to be on high alert and to increase their readiness to handle the influx of casualties.
The ministry also advised individuals who own pagers to dispose of them immediately.
Additionally, the ministry urged medical personnel to urgently report to their workplaces to assist with emergency care for the injured.
