Value of foreign reserves decreased by $1.592b in first 8 months of 2022

AMMAN — The value of foreign reserves at the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) had declined by 8.8 percent by the end of August this year, compared to the same period last year, to lose some $1.592 billion, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.
 
According to CBJ data, foreign reserves declined to $16.451 billion by the end of August.
 
On an annual basis, the value of foreign reserves with the CBJ declined by about $704 million. By the end of August this year, the value declined by 4 percent over the level recorded in August 2021.
