AMMAN — The board of the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Thursday endorsed the new organisational structure of the agency, to be implemented at the beginning of next year.
The new structure, introduced in accordance with the public sector reform plan, will cut down the agency’s 11 departments to eight and will lead to the merger of some departments as well as cadre redistribution.
Petra has 295 employees, including 162 journalists who are members of the Jordan Press Association, besides 41 employees who work at its journalism offices and 92 technicians and administrative workers.
