Prominent Egyptian comedian actor Ahmad Hilmi was forced to run and hide from fans during his book signing ceremony for his first book “28 Letters” that was released a few weeks ago and all the proceeds the actor announced will go to one of the charities that aims at development of children.

Ahmad had arrived early to the ceremony and answered questions addressed by those present. The actor talked about his book and gave a brief description of it.

According to the London based Elaph, Ahmad also talked about his own father and how he is his role model and said that their relationship is more than a father son one, but rather they are extremely good friends. Ahmad was forced to end the ceremony fast due to the formation of a mob of people around him and hid in a books storage room until it was safe for him to come out.

Fans at the ceremony were disappointed at the disorganization of the event and the treatment they received by the organizers, who sold numerous copies of the book without giving Ahmad the chance to sign them. Representatives from the media were also disappointed at the way they were treated and the fact that they were not able to hold interviews with Ahmad despite the fact that the actor had previously announced he will be holding one on one interviews with the press.

A number of fans and members of the press were thrown out of the signing ceremony and only a limited number was allowed inside making more people angry. In addition many people had left the scene outraged no longer wanting to take memorable pictures with Ahmad.
