Egypt will host an emergency Arab summit on February 27 in Cairo, following coordination with Bahrain, the current chair of the Arab League Summit, and the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

 

The summit will discuss what it says are “serious developments” for Palestinians, a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said Sunday – cited by Reuters.

 

The summit will come amid regional tensions after US President Donald Trump announced plans for the United States to take over Gaza and drive Palestinians out of the Strip.
