AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti on Thursday received Romanian Ambassador to Jordan George Maior and his accompanying delegation for talks on strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

 

The discussions focused on enhancing partnerships in areas such as training, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise, in line with shared interests and efforts to support regional security and stability, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

Huneiti highlighted the depth of Jordanian-Romanian relations, reaffirming the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army’s (JAF) commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation across various military and security fields.

 

The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the role of His Majesty King Abdullah in promoting regional peace and stability. He also commended the JAF for its professionalism and advanced level of training.

 

The meeting was attended by senior JAF officials and the Romanian defence attaché in Amman.
