JHCO says preparing 4th relief convoy to Lebanon

The Jordan Times

AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) said it was preparing a fourth relief convoy, as part of Jordan’s humanitarian response to the crisis in the country.

The convoy includes 18 trucks loaded with medicines, medical supplies, infant formula, relief items and kitchen equipment, provided in cooperation with several partners and supporting organisations.

With the launch of this convoy, the total number of Jordanian aid convoys sent to Lebanon has risen to four, carrying a total of 78 trucks loaded with medical, relief and food assistance as part of ongoing efforts to support affected families, JHCO said in a statement on Thursday.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli said that the continued dispatch of relief convoys to Lebanon reflects Jordan’s long-standing humanitarian approach in standing by fellow Arab countries during crises.

He added that JHCO continues coordinating with partners to ensure aid reaches beneficiaries efficiently and swiftly.

Shibli noted that the successive convoys highlight the level of humanitarian cooperation and coordination among supporting entities and partner institutions, helping strengthen the response to growing humanitarian needs and reaffirming Jordan’s continued humanitarian role under various circumstances.
