King attends JAF ceremony marking Accession to Throne Day, Army Day, Great Arab Revolt anniversary

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, on Thursday attended the JAF ceremony marking Accession to the Throne Day, Army Day, and the Great Arab Revolt anniversary.
King Abdullah was received at the Martyr’s Memorial by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti, and laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier Monument.
His Majesty viewed exhibits from the Battle of Ammunition Hill fought by JAF personnel in Palestine, and signed the guestbook, reiterating his pride in the professionalism of JAF and security agencies’ personnel.
In addition, the King bestowed Royal medals on a number of JAF and security agencies’ personnel, in appreciation of their distinguished service and dedication.
Their Royal Highnesses Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, and Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, as well as Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, and Public Security Directorate Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh attended the ceremony.
