206 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan, 197 local cases

A total of 206 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Jordan on Friday, 197 of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 2,945.

 
The cases are:
 
• 136 cases in Amman — 60 of which came into contact with other positive cases and 76 cases are being investigated to find the source.
 
• nine cases in Karak — they came into contact with other positive cases.
 
• Seven cases in Zarqa— they came into contact with other positive cases.
 
• 33 cases in Balqaa— they came into contact with other positive cases.
 
• Nine cases in Irbid— they came into contact with other positive cases.
 
• Three cases in Madaba— they came into contact with other positive cases.
 
• One case in Mafraq— who came into contact with another positive case.
 
• Nine people who travelled from abroad who are currently staying in hotel quarantine — Two who have travelled from the Ukraine, one from Saudi Arabia, three from Egypt and three from Turkey.
 
A total of 103 recovery cases have been confirmed in Jordan on Friday — 13 were discharged from  Prince Hamzah Hospital and 90 from isolation areas in the Dead Sea.
 
A total of 18,007 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning coronavirus crisis to 959,025.
