AMMAN — Qatar topped the 2022 “Global Peace Index”, at Arab level, ranking 23 out of 163 countries. Jordan ranked third in the Arab world and 57 globally, according to the classification issued by the Global Peace Index, June 18, 2022, a local news outlet reported.

 

The report said that the MENA region has been having the “lowest” ranks in the Global Peace Index for seven years in a row, despite the slight improvement of some indicators.

 

While the results revealed an improvement in the overall results in 12 out of 20 countries in the region, eight countries dropped in the peace index.
