Saraya selects Dubai Construction Co. for W Amman hotel mixed use tower

Saraya Abdali Real Estate Investment Company, a subsidiary of Saraya Holdings, has commissioned the Amman-based Dubai Construction Company (DCC), a subsidiary of Dubai Contracting Company, to build a 78,000-square metre mixed use tower in Abdali, Amman’s new downtown. As part of the $200 million project, the contractor will build W Amman, a 36-storey tower comprising 280 rooms and 42 exclusive serviced residences. Saraya Abdali selected the concept design presented by Perkins & Will (P&W), themed after the unique architecture of the Nabatean city of Petra. Khalil S. Saket, general manager of Saraya Abdali Real Estate Investment Company, said: “The signing of this contract is a major milestone that ushers in an exciting stage in our business plans. This project is designed to provide world-class facilities to support Jordan’s tourism and business growth.” Abdallah H. Yabroudi, chief executive officer of DCC, said: “DCC is committed to the achievement of the aspired goals of both companies, which will contribute significantly to the Jordanian economy at large.” Anthony Ingham, vice president, luxury and design brands, Starwood — Europe, Africa & Middle East, said: We look forward to working with Saraya and DCC in bringing W’s cutting-edge design to Amman.”
