AMMAN — Jordan was honoured at the 2025 United Nations Public Service Forum in Uzbekistan for its achievements in advancing e-government services.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship on Wednesday, Jordan climbed 11 places internationally between 2022 and 2024, reaching 89th place on the UN E-Government Development Index. The Kingdom had ranked 100th in 2022 and 117th in 2020, marking steady progress in recent years.
The ministry said the recognition highlights Jordan’s rapid advances in expanding digital services, strengthening citizen engagement platforms, and implementing a comprehensive national digital transformation strategy.
Jordan was among 12 countries honoured at the forum, alongside Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
Kingdom’s Ambassador to Tashkent Dimay Haddad received the certificate of recognition on Jordan’s behalf.
