AMMAN — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Wednesday met with leaders and members of the Mobadara Party as part of the government’s ongoing engagement with political parties.
The meeting was part of a new round of consultations launched by the Premier last week, beginning with the National Charter Party, according to a Prime Ministry statement.
Attended by several ministers, Mobadara secretary-general Mohammad Abu Hdeib and head of the party’s parliamentary bloc Ahmad Hmeisat, the meeting addressed key national issues, including ways to advance the political modernisation programme and government policies on various issues.
The consultations build on the government’s outreach efforts over the past two years, during which Hassan held meetings with parliamentary party blocs, professional associations, business leaders and representatives of key sectors, the statement said.
