Jordanian imports from the United States grew significantly in the first half of the current year, increasing by 19% to 733 million dinars ($1.03 billion).
This is compared to 616 million dinars ($868 million) during the same period last year, according to official statistics.
In contrast, Jordan's national exports to the US saw a slight decline of 1.2%, falling to 1.058 billion dinars ($1.49 billion) from 1.071 billion dinars ($1.51 billion) in the first half of 2024.
As a result, the kingdom’s trade surplus with the US narrowed to 325 million dinars ($458 million), down from 455 million dinars ($641 million) a year ago.
