AMMAN — Minister of Transport and Labour Nidal Qatamin met Monday with a delegation from the British Embassy and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to discuss cooperation in supporting transport sector development projects.

 

During the meeting, they discussed benefiting from international expertise in strategic planning, digital transformation and service efficiency.

 

Qatamin outlined the ministry's priorities and plans for developing the transport system in line with the Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

He stressed the importance of adopting international best practices and expanding partnerships with the private sector in transport projects to strengthen infrastructure efficiency and improve services for citizens and investors.

 

The BCG presented its international experience in developing transport and logistics sectors, managing transformation programs, and public-private partnership (PPP) models, along with innovative digital and artificial intelligence solutions to support strategic project implementation and improve institutional performance.

 

The meeting included discussion of cooperation opportunities in preparing studies and development proposals, exchanging expertise and building capacity to support priority projects, strengthen the transport sector's competitiveness and contribute to sustainable economic development.

 

Both sides underlined the importance of continued communication and coordination to explore future areas of cooperation supporting Jordan's transport sector development goals.
