Royal decrees approve embassy opening in Venezuela, ambassador transfers

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Thursday, approving the Cabinet's decision to open a Jordanian embassy in Venezuela. Separate Royal Decrees also approved Cabinet decisions to transfer a number of Jordanian ambassadors to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, according to the Official Gazette. The decisions include the transfer of Ambassador Zaid Mufleh Lozi from Jordan's embassy in Qatar and Ambassador Rami Adwan from Jordan's embassy in Bahrain to the ministry's headquarters, both effective December 31, 2026. The decrees also include the transfer of Ambassador Maen Masaadeh from Jordan’s embassy in Brazil and Ambassador Amal Ghassan Tal from the embassy in South Korea to the ministry’s headquarters, effective August 15, 2026. The decrees also approve the transfer of Ambassador Hossam Abdullah Husseini from Jordan's embassy in China to the ministry's headquarters, effective June 30, 2026.
