AMMAN — Ayla Oasis Development Company has announced it will once again host the MENA golf Tour tournament for the Middle East and North Africa region at Ayla Golf Club in Aqaba from March 8 to 15, 2026, in cooperation with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).
The tournament underscores Aqaba’s growing status as a leading destination for golf and international sporting events, reflecting organisers’ confidence in Jordan’s advanced sports and tourism infrastructure, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The tournament will feature the participation of 120 players from around the world, providing a high-level professional competitive platform and offering golfers the opportunity to showcase world-class performance on one of the Kingdom’s premier courses, known for its international specifications and environmentally sustainable design.
The MENA Golf Tour is considered one of the region’s leading professional tours, offering a platform for both professional and emerging players to develop their skills, earn world ranking points and build their careers. The tour attracts elite international players, further strengthening its position as a key contributor to the growth of golf across the region.
Ayla Public Relations Manager Mansour Kabariti said hosting the MENA Tour represents a strategic milestone for both Ayla and Aqaba, noting that such events enhance Aqaba’s presence on the global sports map, support sports tourism and stimulate the local economy, while consolidating Ayla’s position as a regional hub for golf.
Ayla Golf Club is among Jordan’s flagship golf projects, featuring an 18-hole championship course and a fully integrated training academy designed by Greg Norman.
The club won four prestigious global sustainability awards at the Sustainable Luxury Awards 2024, reflecting its commitment to international environmental and sporting standards.
