Rwanda Development Board delegation visits Royal Academy of Culinary Arts

AMMAN — A delegation from Rwanda Development Board (RDB) visited the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) in Jordan on Sunday, June 30, 2024, with the aim of fostering stronger ties and exploring collaborative opportunities in the hospitality, education and tourism sectors between Rwanda and Jordan. This visit, organised by Jordan Tourism Board, is affiliated with and in implementation of the HM’s Royal Visit to the Republic of Rwanda in the beginning of this year, according to a statement for The Jordan Times.
 
The delegation, headed by the Chief Tourism Officer at RDB Michaella Rugwizangoga and composed of officials from the education and hospitality sectors of the RDB, learned about RACA’s various programmes and facilities through a tour of its campus and a meeting with RACA’s Director Jacques Rossel.
 
Rossel said: “We are pleased to welcome the Rwanda Development Board delegation to our prestigious college.”
 
This visit represents the beginning of a fruitful partnership through which we hope to exchange best practices and experiences in the field of Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Food & Beverage Management,” the statement said.
 
 
For her part, the Chief Tourism Officer at RDB, Rugwizangoga, expressed her admiration for RACA and its facilities, and her enthusiasm for the possibilities that this future partnership with RACA can provide, which contributes to the growth of the tourism sector between the two countries.
 
It is worth-mentioning that the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts is a Technical University College, established in 2008 following the vision of His Majesty, King Abdullah II, to raise the level of education in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, and reorient young men and women towards education related to the technical market. RACA is a Certified Member of the Network of EHL-certified Schools and offers a Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management and a Two-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts, according to the statement.
