AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi met on Wednesday in Doha with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

 

According to a ministry statement, the two sides reiterated the strong and enduring ties between Jordan and Qatar, emphasising their shared commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

 

The meeting also addressed regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza. Both officials highlighted the importance of fully implementing the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the unhindered delivery of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid.

 

Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need to advance to the second phase of the agreement, linking stability to a clear political horizon, while calling for an end to the escalating Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank.

 

The ministers also agreed to maintain ongoing coordination to strengthen bilateral cooperation and address matters of mutual interest.
