His Majesty King Abdullah II met several Arab leaders on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit.
His Majesty Met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas; Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi; Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati; UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The summit is in response to ongoing regional developments, especially the continued aggression by “Israeli” forces on Gaza and tensions in Lebanon
Saudi Arabia said that the summit will build on the joint Arab-Islamic summit held in Riyadh on November 11, 2023, and follows directives from King Salman bin Abdulaziz. It aims to further Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's efforts in coordinating with Arab and Islamic leaders on regional concerns.
