Two 'Israeli' soldiers killed in Rafah explosion; 'Israel' launches airstrikes

Roya News

Two 'Israeli' soldiers were reportedly killed on Sunday in a serious security incident in southern Gaza’s Rafah area, marking one of the most significant alleged breaches of the recent ceasefire.

The explosion targeted an 'Israeli' engineering vehicle and is suspected to have been caused either by an anti-tank missile or a planted explosive device, according to 'Israeli' claims.

In response, 'Israeli' forces launched airstrikes on targets in the Rafah area.

Initial reports indicate that the vehicle was operating in Rafah when the blast occurred. 'Israeli' authorities suggest that Palestinian militants carried out the attack using either an anti-tank missile or a pre-planted explosive device. Large IOF reinforcements were reportedly dispatched to the site.

The 'Israeli' army confirmed that its air force is conducting strikes against resistance targets in Rafah in response to the incident.

Simultaneously, another security incident occurred in the northern Gaza Strip, in the Jabalia area. 'Israeli' forces reported that troops from the Givati Brigade killed two militants who had crossed the so-called “yellow line” (the agreed withdrawal line under the ceasefire) and approached 'Israeli' positions, allegedly posing a threat.

Several Palestinians were reportedly killed or injured on Sunday in the 'Israeli' airstrike targeting eastern Jabalia in northern Gaza, amid escalating security incidents across the Gaza Strip.
