The government has earmarked JD 5 million in its 2025 budget draft to build the new Ajloun Toll Road, part of the capital projects under the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
The 2025 budget highlights show that the Ministry studied proposals to introduce toll systems on three major roads in Jordan.
Additionally, the government is considering a toll system for 14 roads in collaboration with the private sector, including the Amman Development Corridor and the new Amman-Ajloun Road, as previously announced.
Minister of Public Works and Housing, Ahmad Maher Abul Samen, mentioned plans for a 640km road linking the Iraqi border with Aqaba. This road is also being considered as a toll project through a public-private partnership.
