AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in partnership with the Qatar Red Crescent and the Jordanian Campaign, on Friday launched a project to distribute hot meals to affected families in the war-torn Gaza Strip.
JHCO said that the initiative aims to provide urgent humanitarian aid, alleviate suffering, and support the resilience of residents facing challenging conditions.
The initiative reflects a coordinated effort among humanitarian actors in the region, underscoring the commitment to solidarity and timely assistance for those in need, according to a JHCO statement.
Also on Friday, JHCO, in cooperation with the Jordanian Islamic AlMunasara Zakat Committee, continued to distribute daily bread to families affected in the southern, northern, and central areas of the Gaza Strip.
The organisation said that the initiative aims to meet the basic food needs of families in Gaza and provide them with the minimum requirements for a dignified life, within the framework of ongoing coordination with humanitarian and charitable institutions.
Since the onset of the crisis in Gaza, JHCO has also implemented numerous relief and humanitarian projects, seeking to reach the largest possible number of families across the Strip and alleviate the severe humanitarian conditions they are facing.
