Jordan records 276 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached 33, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 276 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 9,243 and the caseload to 723,345.

 
Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the ministry said:
 
124 in Amman
28 in Irbid
40 in Zarqa
29 in Mafraq
4 in Maan
6 in Balqa
3 in Jerash
4 in Madaba
0 in Tafilah
1 in Aqaba
25 in Ajloun
12 in Karak
 
The ministry added in a statement that some 724 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 98 others were admitted.
 
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,268, according to the ministry’s statement.
 
Around 3.41 percent of the 8,857 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
