Hebrew media reported on Sunday that Hezbollah's media relations official, Mohammad Afif, was allegedly assassinated in an 'Israeli' airstrike in central Beirut.
According to a Lebanese security source, the strike targeted Afif in the Ras al-Nabaa area of the Lebanese capital. The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that one person was killed and three others were injured in the 'Israeli' air raid on the same location. Significant structural damage was also reported in the vicinity of the targeted building.
'Israeli' army radio affirmed that Mohammad Afif was the intended target of this assassination attempt. This escalation follows rising tensions between Hezbollah and Israeli Occupation Forces, amid ongoing conflicts in the region.
Further details are expected as investigations continue, and updates from official sources in Lebanon and Israeli Occupation may shed more light on the situation.
