Joe Biden will speak to “Israel's” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this evening regarding the almost-imminent “Israeli” invasion of the southern city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.

The call comes after the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) forced parts of Rafah’s population to evacuate ahead of its offensive on the city that houses over a million displaced Palestinians – according to the White House.

"We have made our views clear on a major ground invasion of Rafah to the Israeli government, and the president will speak with the prime minister today," a spokesperson for the National Security Council told Agence France-Presse (AFP).

The European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borell has called the recent “Israeli” evacuation call of the border city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip as “unacceptable” - further demanding that the Israeli Occupation renounce the the planned ground invasion and implement the United Nations Security Resolution No. 2728.

The United Nations Security Council Resolution number 2728, adopted on March 25, 2024, demands an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire; it received approval from 14 members, while the United States abstained from voting.

“Israel's evacuation orders to civilians in Rafah portend the worst: more war and famine. It is unacceptable,” said Borell on a social media post.
