AMMAN — The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) on Sunday said that 1,180 industrial institutions, out of more than 9,000 member companies, can participate in the chamber elections slated for November 10.

 

ACI General Manager Nael Hussami said that the 1,180 institutions that are eligible to participate in the elections are those that have registered at ACI, paid their financial dues for 2018, and whose capital stands at JD30,000 or more, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

These companies also have to have at least 10 Jordanian employees who are subscribed to the Social Security Corporation, Hussami added.

 

He said that 18 industrialists applied to run for ACI elections as board members, noting that the candidacy period ended on Wednesday.
