Jordan eases restrictions on duty-free purchases for tourists

Roya News

The Council of Ministers amended the decision restricting foreigners from purchasing items from the domestic duty-free market.

The amendment, detailed in a document reviewed by Roya, was made in response to regional conditions affecting tourist numbers.

Under the revised rule, foreigners may shop at the domestic duty-free market within 14 days of their entry, as noted on their passports, with tobacco products remaining excluded.
