A cargo plane with ten people on board crashed into a residential complex near the Iranian capital Tehran, state TV reported. They said that there was no immediate report of casualties.
“The plane was a cargo Boeing 707 that overshot the runway during its landing,” Iran's aviation organisation spokesman Reza Jafarzadeh told state broadcaster IRIB.
“We don’t have clear information about the details of the crash,” said the head of Iran’s emergency department, Pirhossein Kolivand.
The plane had reportedly taken off from the Payam International Airport in the city of Karaj.
The plane was a Boeing 707.
