AMMAN — The Regional Food Security Analysis Network (RFSAN) delivered a series of introductory food security trainings to government employees in Jordan between May 15 and 22, a RFSAN statement said.
The trainings, conducted with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations representation in Jordan, and the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), took place in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba, with a total of 75 participants, including staff from the MoA and the Department of Statistics.
The participants were introduced to the concepts of food security, food security determinants, identification of information needs for assessing and monitoring food security and carrying out basic food security analysis, according to the statement.
