AMMAN — The 32nd Arab League summit is scheduled to be held in Riyadh on May 19, according to the league’s Assistant Secretary-General, Ambassador Hossam Zaki.
The decision followed consultations between Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and the Saudi government, Saraya News reported.
Zaki noted that the five-day summit will be preceded by several preparatory meetings between senior officials and ministers.
This year, the Arab-African summit is also set to be held in Saudi Arabia, while the Arab development summit will be hosted by Mauritania.
