AMMAN — The Irbid Agriculture Directorate has allocated a forest area to isolate animals infected with COVID-19, after a dog was tested positive for the virus in Ramtha on Thursday.
Irbid Health Director Riyad Shiyyab told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Friday that the infected dog was transferred from the home of the pet owner in Ramtha to the quarantine area in Irbid.
Irbid Agriculture Director Abdulwali Tahat said that the place was designed in a way that takes into consideration animal welfare, noting that the place is guarded by forest department employees.
