The Jordan Times

AMMAN — Pre-fabricated homes were on their way to the war-torn Gaza Strip on Wednesday as part of a new humanitarian effort the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) has launched, in partnership with the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) - Arab Army.

Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, JHCO Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) Hussein Shibli said that the initiative aims to intensify humanitarian efforts and provide all possible forms of support to the people of Gaza.

"Sending prefab homes is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our brothers in Gaza, as we seek to provide swift and effective solutions to alleviate their suffering," Shibli said, underlying that Jordan will always be at the forefront of nations extending a helping hand to its brothers, guided by the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah.

Shibli said that dispatching prefab homes to Gaza is just one part of a broader plan aimed at increasing support for Palestinians, aiming to provide safe shelter for families whose homes and infrastructure have been severely damaged.

"Since the beginning of the crisis in Gaza, Jordanian aid convoys have continued delivering food supplies, medical necessities, and humanitarian relief, in addition to field hospitals providing healthcare to the wounded and sick amid the difficult conditions they face," he said.
