American media reports disclosed that the US provided "security aid" to “Israel” totaling more than USD 6 billion since October 7.

The US extended security aid valued at over USD 6.5 billion to “Israel” following the October 7 attack on settlements near the Gaza border, according to a report by The Washington Post.

In April, the US House of Representatives approved a substantial legislative package worth USD 95 billion.

This package, supported by both Republican and Democratic parties despite some Republican opposition, aimed to provide security assistance to Ukraine, “Israel”, and Taiwan.

The package included USD 17 billion in defense aid for “Israel” and roughly USD 9 billion for humanitarian relief for Gaza and other war-affected areas.

In addition, US officials in May revealed that the Biden administration informally notified congressional committees of its intention to advance new arms deals for “Israel” worth over USD 1 billion.

Two American officials noted that the State Department had forwarded a USD 1 billion weapons aid package for “Israel” to Congress for review. According to one official, this latest package includes tank shells, mortars, and armored tactical vehicles.

However, the report indicates that “Israeli” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is working to smooth over strained public relations with Washington amidst discussions about military aid and a shift towards less intensive operations in Gaza.

US President Joe Biden, in May, stated that he had delayed a shipment of 2,000-pound munitions and 1,700 500-pound bombs to “Israel” due to concerns about their potential use in an invasion of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The US provides “Israel” with annual military aid amounting to USD 3.8 billion. However, senior US officials have expressed criticism towards Tel Aviv over the high number of civilian casualties in Gaza, where the war killed more than 37,000 Palestinians, predominantly children and women
