“Israel’s” military systems face 3 billion cyber attacks since Oct. 7

Roya News

Since October 7, “Israel” experienced 3 billion cyber-attacks aimed at its military computer systems, according to Haaretz’s recent report.

Racheli Dembinski, the commander of the army’s Centre of Computers and Information Systems unit, confirmed these figures in an interview with Haaretz.

The cyber-attacks have primarily targeted the Israeli Occupation Forces' (IOF) main operational cloud computing systems, which they rely on for ground operations, troop management, and real-time information sharing.

Dembinski noted that despite the overwhelming number of attacks, all were successfully thwarted, with no incidents resulting in a disruption of the IOF’s systems.

Initially, Dembinski expressed concerns about the IOF’s preparedness, admitting that she feared the alert systems might have collapsed in the chaos following the attacks that initiated the current conflict.

Recently, the IOF acknowledged that it was not adequately prepared for the extensive infiltration scenarios that unfolded on October 7.
