The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmad Al-Safadi, affirmed that Jordan's security and stability are non-negotiable, emphasizing that both Parliament and the Jordanian people stand united and unwavering behind their leadership, army, and security forces in the face of terrorism and those who seek to harm the nation.

 

In a statement issued by the House of Representatives on Sunday, Safadi condemned the terrorist attack on Public Security officers in the Rabieh area, calling it a cowardly act that will only bring disgrace and defeat to its perpetrators.

 

Safadi further declared, "Our brave soldiers and security forces will strike with an iron fist anyone who threatens the security and stability of Jordan."

 

He also praised the swift action of the military in foiling an attempted infiltration at the eastern border, which, he said, strengthens Jordan's internal unity in the face of ongoing external threats.

 

Concluding his statement, Safadi reaffirmed the House of Representatives' unwavering support for His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and for the heroic efforts of the army and security forces in defending the nation. He sent a strong message to those behind extremist and terrorist forces, declaring that Jordan will remain steadfast against any attempts to undermine it.

 

"You will achieve nothing but failure," he said. "Jordan will continue to honor its commitment to defending its just causes, especially the Palestinian cause, and no act of cowardice will deter us from upholding our principles and values."
