"Israeli" police reported on Sunday evening that they received an alert about an explosion in a vehicle in Tel Aviv.

 

Authorities have indicated that a large security force is en route to the site to investigate the incident. Further details regarding the cause of the explosion and any potential casualties are yet to be confirmed.

 

The Times of Israel reported that two people have been injured. The explosion occurred on the southbound lanes of the Ayalon Highway near the La Guardia interchange, according to police.

 

Footage from the scene shows several cars badly damaged on the highway, which was reportedly shut down, causing significant traffic disruptions during the already busy afternoon commute.

 

One victim is in moderate condition, while the other has sustained light injuries.
